This depends partly on what the item is, and the amount of time you have had it checked out. Most loans, including books, journals, DVDs and videos can be renewed online, in person, or by phone. Overdue items or those recalled by another user can't be renewed.

Go to InfoHawk+ ( and click on My Account in the upper right. You will be prompted for your Hawk ID and password. View the list of loans. If the item you wish to renew is renewable, its status will display as Renewable. Click the checkbox next to each item you'd like to renew, or Renew All, while being sure to check for items not renewed.

For phone assistance in renewing, contact the Main Library Service Desk: 319-335-5299
