Answer

MAIN LIBRARY PRINTING. Printers are connected to p.c. and MacIntosh computers on 1st and 2nd floors (Information Technology Services). On floor one, the Main Library Learning Commons has three print stations located among the north, east or south computers, while the Library Collections area also has a print station; on floor two southeast, the Main I.T.C. provides several print stations.

TO PRINT use "simplified print" instructions: Simply select print to send a document into one of two holding queues: ITC-BW or ITC-COLOR. Walk to any print station on campus and sign onto a print release station using your HawkID. From there you may then print or delete documents.

TO PRINT FROM HOME, DORM OR WIRELESS NETWORK. For mobile computing systems the ITS Help Desk provides WebPrint instructions to print from home, dorm, or wireless network to a campus printer. (Note, August 2014: the iPrint service was replaced with a new service called WebPrint that simplifies the process of printing Office and PDF documents from your home, dorm, or wirelessly connected device. Information and instructions for using WebPrint, links below.)

To connect mobile devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones: current UI students and employees may use the eduroam wireless network while campus visitors may select the "attwifi" network using wireless hot spots. Guests of the UI Libraries may request a guest-ID to log onto desktop computers and gain access to printers using PrintKeys purchased from Food-for-Thought Cafe. (Note that visitors to the University of Iowa campus who do select ATTWIFI to connect their device receive no printing access.)
