What is a peer reviewed (scholarly) journal article? How can I find one in my subject?
A peer reviewed article has been approved for publication in a journal by an editorial board or group of experts in the subject. Some journal databases list only peer reviewed articles, others such as Academic Search Elite provide a mix of scholarly and popular press articles. When there is a mix, there will be a limiter in the database to restrict your search results to just scholarly or peer-reviewed articles.
