The UI Libraries also subscribes to many dictionary databases that contain electronic versions of dictionaries, such as many of the Oxford language dictionaries, including Spanish, French, German, and Italian, as well as other language dictionaries, like the Japanese-English dictionary Kenkyusha Online Dictionary. You can see what other online dictionaries we subscribe to by going to our A-Z Database list or using the following link: https://guides.lib.uiowa.edu/az.php?t=5149

You can search for dictionaries in InfoHawk+ with a simple keyword search for dictionaries or use the advanced search to do a subject search on dictionaries. You can also select books under the resources menu to narrow to dictionaries in both print and online.

You can also find hard copy dictionaries located in the reference collection on the 1st floor at the Main Library. Other print dictionaries may also be available at other libraries, as well as at our off site Library annex, which you can access by request.

  1. Could you break this text up into shorter pieces instead of all one chunk? Also, try to find a couple of interesting examples and describe those so people will realize that it's not just your typical English dictionary sitting on our shelves. Perhaps you can specifically talk about where to find the other language dictionaries in our collection and how you would find those in InfoHawk+. Think of this answer as a way to really explain what we have to offer and try to make it interesting or use a conversational tone. Essentially - dive in a bit deeper with this one and the one about encyclopedias.
