Course Reserves are things like books or DVDs that are held at the library (usually Main Library) for short-term checkout, so that the whole class has a chance to use them. You can find these items in the Course Reserves section of InfoHawk+, searching by the title, instructor's name, class name, etc.

E-reserves are full text articles or book chapters available to students in a specific course, and are listed only on the course ICON site. They are not listed in InfoHawk+.

See Main Library Reserve Services for more detail, including loan periods and overdue policies. For reserves at UI Libraries other than Main Library, see that library's home page.

Instructors wanting to place items on reserve should start here.
