Some help centers have satellite locations here in the Main Library. If you need another type of academic assistance, we'll be happy to refer you to other help centers on campus.

• The Writing Center (from the Rhetoric Department) usually has hours in the Main Library Learning Commons, Group Area D (across from the Food for Thought Cafe) on Wednesday afternoons. • The Statistics Tutorial Lab provides tutoring in the Main Library MTWTh in Group Room 1113-red in the Learning Commons. For more details, see their website: https://stat.uiowa.edu/resources/tutoring

If you need assistance with a research project, the Main Library has the Just Ask desk where you can get assistance with research projects. We help with identifying places to search, discovering search terms, finding books, articles, and other sources, and anything else you'd like to learn about the research process. Librarians are available at the Just Ask desk from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and graduate students from the School of Library and Information Science are available for help in the evenings from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
