What are some good resources for researching a specific company?

Answer

PitchBook covers startups and private companies, as well as other venture capital- and private equity-related topics.

  • Search for Allbirds to access their PitchBook profile.
  • Use the left menu of the profile to navigate to different topics (e.g., Industries & Verticals, Investments, Market Information, Financials, and more).

Note: first-time users are required to register for an individual PitchBook account using their university email address.

Factiva is a great source for finding current news about a company.

  • To find news about Allbirds, go to Factiva and click Search.
  • Click the blue arrow next to Company and type Allbirds into the search bar that appears. This will limit your results to articles about Allbirds.
  • Type any other search terms of interest in the Free Text Search box and click Search.

Business Source Complete and ABI/INFORM Global are the main databases for finding academic articles on business topics and on specific companies.

In Business Source Complete:

  • Type Allbirds in the search bar and then select CO Company Entity in the dropdown menu to the right of the search bar.
  • Add any other search terms of interest and then click Search.

In ABI/INFORM Global:

  • Type Allbirds in the search bar and then select Company/Organization - ORG in the dropdown menu to the right of the search bar.
  • Add any other search terms of interest and then click Search.
