Where do I find SEC (Securities & Exchange Commission) filings?
Answer
SEC filings (mid-1990s to present) are freely available from EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval).
Most of our resources that have company financials also provide SEC filings including:
- Nexis Uni (formerly NexisLexis) -
- Select Company Dossier from the menu to pull up SEC filings for a company.
- Mergent Online -
- Use the Filings tab from a company record.
To order paper copies of SEC filings not available online or in microtext, look at Investor.gov and scroll down to How to Access or Request Public Records Not Accessible via SEC Website.
