How do I find data on consumer demographics and buying behavior?

Answer

Go to Passport (Consumer Industries).

  • Browse the available categories under the Consumers tab at the top of the page.

Check out PolicyMap and SimplyAnalytics*, which provide extensive demographic and consumer spending data by location.

*Note: users have a choice to either create an account to log-in using their e-mail address or click a button to log-in as a guest.

Go to Mintel. Under Analytics in the top menu, select Consumer Data to access Interactive Databooks featuring consumer data from Mintel reports.

Go to Statista. Select Global Survey from top menu to access Statista's Global Consumer Survey. Select a country/territory of interest. Then, select topic(s) and demographics/target group. The Global Survey page also contains links to Content Specials, additional Global Consumer Survey data on trending topics around the world.

Go to ACSI - The American Customer Satisfaction Index, as well as the National Retail Federation.
