Where can I find population statistics?

Answer

Go to Global Financial Data (GFD). Note that users must authenticate with their HawkID, then log in to GFD.

  • Click on Search the GFDatabase, then perform a GFD Filter Search where the Series Type is Population.
  • Next, select a country or group of interest and click Search.

Use United Nations data:

Search WDI Online from The World Bank.

Use U.S. Census Bureau data:

For U.S. population statistics down to the block group level of geography, use SimplyAnalytics. Note that users have a choice to either create an account to log-in using their e-mail address or click a button to log-in as a guest.

For international city and regional population data, go to City Mayors Statistics: Urban Statistics.
