UI Libraries has newspapers in several formats: paper, microfilm and online. Current newspapers in print are shelved on first floor west corridor near the New Books Shelf. Current and older newspapers in print and microfilm can be requested at the Main Library Service Desk, first floor of the Main Library. Microfilm contains black-and-white photos of newspaper pages. The Main Library has microfilm readers that enlarge and digitize images; you may bring a flash drive to save images. See the guides linked below for more information about newspapers and news sources.

  1. include photo of the microfilm reader in action? change the question as you see fit...maybe more generically about microfilm? compare it to other questions about finding old newspapers and link the faqs together?
