The UI Libraries provides online access to several databases where you can search for dissertations and theses on a variety of topics. Use the Dissertations & Theses guide for a list of suggested databases to search in.

Electronic dissertations or theses completed at the University of Iowa can be found in Iowa Research Online. IRO is a service of the University of Iowa Libraries dedicated to preserving and providing open access to the scholarly and creative work of the university.

Most dissertations or theses completed at the University of Iowa are also listed in InfoHawk+. To search for a dissertation or thesis within, simply use Advanced Search to enter author or title words and add the word "thesis" or "dissertation" as a subject. Theses and dissertations in print circulate to UI patrons like other books, and InfoHawk+ can provide information on where they are located (branch library, library annex, special collections, etc.)
