There are a couple of approaches you can take, in addition to simply asking library staff at a Service Desk.

Books in the UI Libraries are shelved by Library of Congress Classification, meaning they have a call number that is a combination of letters and numbers, like this: HA202. Check the Library of Congress Classification Outline to see which call numbers are assigned to which subjects, then consult a map of the library to see where those books are shelved.

Another approach is to search InfoHawk+. You could use Advanced Search to search for subject words, or do a general keyword search. Once you find a title that looks promising, view its Details (full record). Under Subjects you will see links to the subject headings assigned to that book. Click on a subject heading and you will retrieve all works assigned that heading.

The InfoHawk+ record for a book will provide a location, so you know which library has the book, and a call number to help you find the book on the shelf.
