If something you need is already checked out by someone else, you have a few options built into InfoHawk+ to help you get the material you need. Sign in to InfoHawk+ to see your 'Request Options.'
You can use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to request the material from another library. If you request a book (or other physical item), it should arrive in 5 to 10 days and you will be notified by email when the item arrives.
If you request a pdf of a single chapter, that will also be sent through Interlibrary Loan, but because it will be delivered electronically, you can expect to receive it within 24-48 hours.
You can also request that a librarian purchase a second copy for our collection. This option is typically slower than requesting it through ILL unless an e-book can be purchased quickly. Find the request option in InfoHawk+ or from My Library → Recommend a Library Purchase from the library homepage.
Whatever option you choose, please make sure you take care to monitor your email while you wait for your item as that is how you will be notified that the item has arrived.
