The One Button Studio (OBS) is a small room, equipped with a camera, lights, green/gray screens, and the technology you need to easily make a video recording. All you need to bring is a USB drive!

There are One Button Studios at Hardin Library, the Business Library, and in the Main Library. See the links below to make a reservation.

Students have reported that by recording themselves practicing presentations at the One Button Studio they felt more prepared and confident when presenting in front of their class.

Instructors can reserve the One Button Studio for class activities and assignments. Some ideas for using it include:

  • have two or more students get together and record themselves having a discussion about a course reading (rather than doing a discussion post in ICON)

  • have students record a "draft" version of their presentation before presenting in class so they can receive feedback before a high stakes assignment

  • have your students record a "time capsule" of what they think they know about the content of your course at the beginning of the semester, and then near the end of the semester, create another "what I know now" recording.
