Our library has a few audiobooks (sound recordings) including mostly authors or actors reading literary works, however, the local public libraries have many more popular and contemporary books through streaming platforms (Libby, Overdrive, Hoopla, etc.) and on compact disk.

You can search in UIowa's catalog at https://www.lib.uiowa.edu/find/infohawk/

An example of a compact disc sound recording available at the Main Library:
The Spoken Arts Treasury: 100 modern American poets reading their poems
UI Main Library - Media Collection - Audio record 40617 CD
(Please request Main Library media items online or at the Service Desk, thanks.)

While you are searching for an item in InfoHawk+, you can refine your search to look specifically for audiobooks or "sound recordings" by selecting "sound recordings" under Refine Your Search and Resource Type.
