Our library has a few audiobooks (sound recordings) including mostly authors or actors reading literary works, however, the local public libraries have many more popular and contemporary books on compact disc. See their website: https://www.icpl.org/books-more/digital-library. If you need more information, please contact a librarian: http://www.lib.uiowa.edu/contact/

An example of a compact disc sound recording available at the Main Library:
The Spoken Arts Treasury: 100 modern American poets reading their poems
UI Main Library - Media Collection - Audio record 40617 CD
Please request Main Library media items online or at the Service Desk, thanks.
