Interlibrary loan is a service provided by the library in partnership with many other libraries around the country. Books, theses, films in various formats and many other research materials not owned by the University of Iowa can be borrowed from another library. 

Materials requested for loan average 7-10 days before arrival. Journal articles and book chapters usually arrive sooner, a week on average.
