The default setting for printing is double-sided for black and white, and single-sided for color, according to this page about printing in campus computer labs (ITCs).

It will still cost $0.03 for each side of the page you print in black and white and $0.15 for each side of the page done in color printing, so no, it won't save you money but it's good for the environment, so that's a win!
