NEW INFORMATION (as of February 2025)

Library staff and student workers utilize a LibWizard form, embedded into the Services Desk Dashboard, to record inquires received at the Service Desk, over email, over the phone, or through any other mechanism of communication.

During three designated weeks during a calendar year, you will be required to use this form to record statistics:

OLD INFORMATION:

Library staff and student workers utilize Suma software to record inquiries at the Service Desk, encompassing circulation, directional, technology, reference, and campus partner questions. The data collected is used to generate reports to quantify activities such as book/media check-outs, interlibrary loan (ILL) check-outs, and laptop etc. check-outs. This data collection process supports and informs the decision-making process, providing valuable insights for enhancing services and addressing user needs.

  • 1. Log into Suma 
  • 2. Select an initiative <Service Desk Sampling> 
  • 3. Select Service Desk 
  • 4. Select Type/Time and Medium
  • 5. When your shift is complete, don't forget to select "Finish Collecting."
